Paul ran our Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, and we found him to be very supportive and helpful throughout.
We found his approach to be positive and he encouraged us all to share experiences, with the content and delivery focused on our experience in work and how we may put into practice our learning from the course.
The success of this experience and Paul's style led us to commission him to design and deliver a tailored Personal Development Programme for people at various levels within MPI.
Paul was a very proactive member of the team. He was positive, organised, flexible, and would go the 'extra mile' for our clients.
He had a 'can do' attitude, was reliable and always delivered what he promised, even in very challenging situations. When problems arose he used his innovative skills and mindset to problem solve and find a way through.
My view, from my personal experience, is that Paul is an honourable and honest person and I would have no doubt in vouching for his character for future clients or work.
I had a number of issues with the Leadership and Management course, and the reliability of my previous trainer was not up to the standard I would expect.
When I was allocated Paul, I had absolutely no issues, with the quality of the training far superior to that I had received in the past.
I felt it was more organised and very well planned. It was night and day in comparison to when I started and that motivated me and also made me a lot happier with the delivery.
I was learning and developing.
Paul communicated with me and sent me more material, as well as being more logical and methodical in the approach than I had received in the past.
Kerax, and myself particularly, have been more than satisfied with your level of training. It has always been delivered to a highly professional standard, coupled with humour and examples of experiences from work-based scenarios.
Your level of ability and methods/style of delivering the Level 3 and 5 training have been exemplary. Very informative and knowledgeable, with a high level of understanding.
This has led to Kerax using your services on the commercial side to help us promote engagement and introduce and manage change via a 3-day Engagement Training Programme for our SLT and employees on GMP.
This programme was delivered excellently and was received extremely well by all the trainees. We as a business, and myself personally, would have no hesitation in recommending your services to other businesses.
"Your external experience and mindset are like a breath of fresh air...keep asking "Why?" and continue to bring creativity and diversity of thought into the business." - Centre for Process Innovation
"You got to know Policing, you got to know our organisation and you got to know us and the issues that we face, which made the design and delivery of our NPPF Promoted Sergeants Training very engaging and focused, and something that was different to what we had experienced before...I can say hand on heart, that you are the epitome of a people developer, and you remain a light when I think of people who actually deliver good development" - Cleveland Police
"Paul is an analytical trainer and facilitator who has a highly developed sense of innovative training development. He is experienced in the design of both workshops and e-Learning solutions for all levels within an organisation." - KF Training
"I want to use your work with Paragon Rapid Technologies at Level 5 and Level 3 as a 'best practice' case study to show how a Management Development Programme should be designed and delivered." - SkillsFirst EV Visit to KF Training
I have commissioned work from and worked with Paul Sinton over a number of years.
In my capacity as the Training Manager for the North East Warden Resource Centre (NEWRC), I first worked with Paul developing material for the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister-led initiative for Street Wardens.
The work included developing ideas into workable training resources for use with wardens, public sector workers and charitable groups. Paul was always innovative, supportive and good humoured whilst producing this work, often under pressure and sometimes in a politically charged atmosphere.
Paul also delivered training on the NCFE Level 2 Accredited Warden Training Course. The students on these courses were of mixed abilities and often would have challenging behaviour, all of which Paul competently managed.
When I worked for North Yorkshire County Council as a Leadership and Management Development Advisor, I
commissioned Paul to develop, produce and deliver a Leadership and Management course to ILM standards for
Team Leaders across North Yorkshire. This he did with great success, employing innovative training solutions for a diverse workforce. There was good positive feedback for Paul’s work from the course participants.
In all of my interactions with Paul I have always found him to be diligent, knowledgeable, well researched and
endlessly patient. He takes on new ideas with enthusiasm, turning them into practical creative training resources that his learners can relate to and use.
Paragon first became involved with Paul in 2015, when he delivered modules to staff of differing abilities and levels of
engagement at Level 2, Level 3 and Level 5 for Leadership and Management.
Paul conducted himself in a professional
and friendly manner. He used his deep knowledge of the material to deliver the courses in a cogent understandable way. He always conducted himself in a relaxed, approachable manner over the 18 months of the training programme, arriving on-time for all sessions.
He was always understanding of the
fluctuating demands on Paragon employees’ time, which occasionally meant he was leading a group which was short on numbers. Paul was always flexible in arranging catch-up sessions to ensure that non-attendees did not fall behind the general pace of the course.
We found Paul to be a confident and competent presenter of the training courses. He was comfortable enough in his knowledge of the course to not only make routine trainer-delegate
presentations, but to allow the group to 'self-teach' through the sharing of common experiences. He was happy to allow discussions to flow while always ensuring they were gently guided back to the core learning outcomes. He ably supported the less confident and less academically inclined members of the group through their own research efforts and completion of assignments.
Paul has always conducted himself in a professional and courteous manner He has built effective relationships with the Company’s employees at all levels, founded largely on his friendly and pragmatic approach to his work.
We have also worked with Paul to develop a bespoke training programme to further develop our Middle Management Team, as well as Coaching Sessions for some of those individuals. We would not have engaged Paul in the development of this work if we did not hold him in the highest regard.
The requirements of the course were clearly set out at the start, and at each session the subject-matter was made relevant to each of us. I appreciate this
must have been difficult with a group of such mixed backgrounds (including technical staff who manage teams, project managers and human
resources).
I was surprised how accommodating you were when people had missed training sessions or meeting dates, and you came to give one-to-one meetings, fitting in with our work, and at no point making us feel guilty for it!
I feel that the training was very helpful and the delivery style suited the 'skills first' approach...it wasn’t like a lecture at university, it was much more of a discussion group with explanation and demonstrations on how to apply theories in practice.
What was very helpful were the many facilitated opportunities to discuss various problem issues and how we might deal with them.
Paul was my trainer for the Level 5 Leadership and Management Diploma. He had the task of taking over from another trainer, but this changeover was facilitated with ease due to his regular contact and efforts to understand my preferences around learning and my personal progression.
Paul was always patient and understanding, and worked around me with flexibility and often suggested different approaches and ways of learning that would ensure that I
had regular contact with himself and the learning materials.
The completion of the course was approached by Paul in ways to ensure that all topics were covered comprehensively and that there would be no doubt that I would be successful in achieving a pass. This really put me at ease to know that there was a strong chance that I would achieve my qualification. He was dedicated to helping me achieve the qualification and personally happy for me when I passed the course, showing his investment in and commitment to his learners.
